Progesterone deficiency: hormones and fertility

Progesterone is produced by the corpus luteum during the second half of the menstrual cycle and ensures that the endometrium thickens in preparation for embryo implantation. It also causes the basal body temperature to rise.
In the case of progesterone deficiency, this preparation is inadequate, which can lead to problems with implantation and early pregnancy.
Symptoms of progesterone deficiency
